What's the difference between Gauge and Diameter?

Gauge was the unit of measurement used to measure diameter a while back. The relation is that, as the gauge number increases, the thickness of the wire drops by 10 percent. Gauge sizes work in reverse, meaning that higher numbers (like 16 gauge) are thinner than smaller numbers (like a 6 gauge). See example below.

8gauge – 3mm

6gauge  -  4mm

4gauge – 5mm

Where to Buy?

Do you offer electroplating?

Yes we do.  Tassburg has an electroplating shop. Electroplating is charged per KG, and we offer the following;

• Nickel
• Zinc
• Brass
